Work’s had me moving nonstop, scouting new talent, late nights and early flights, ears always open, instincts always on for Sony Music. Meanwhile Slayder’s been juggling a brand new school, cheer, and campaigning for student body president like the powerhouse she is. Life hasn’t slowed, it’s been sprinting.

So I called a timeout. Flew us to Canada for a mommy and me Galentine’s reset. Pumpkin waffles made with love, her favorite lattes, a snowy shuffle into our Airbnb, laughter fogging up the windows.

Northern lights reminding us how small and magical everything really is. Steak for her, ribs for me, strawberry cheesecake because joy should always be layered. Dinner above the clouds at Sky Bistro, a flag photo for the memory bank, and a quiet promise that no matter how busy life gets, we always circle back to us.
